About Us: MAR Concrete Ltd. is a concrete company specializing in high-quality concrete work. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional service and craftsmanship on every project. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic team.
Job Description: As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for smoothing, finishing, and shaping concrete surfaces to specifications. You will work on a variety of projects, including residential and commercial. Your expertise will ensure that our concrete work meets the highest standards of quality and durability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of concrete work.
- Set forms to hold concrete in place, ensuring they are properly aligned and at the correct height.
- Spread, level, and smooth concrete using various tools, such as trowels, floats, and screeds.
- Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concrete.
- Monitor the effects of weather on concrete, ensuring proper setting and curing.
- Repair and resurface existing concrete structures.
- Operate power tools and machinery, including concrete mixers and vibrators.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other construction team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools related to concrete work.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in construction.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Hours:
- 8-10 Hours a day, Monday to Friday with some weekend work to be expected.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid drivers license with reliable vehicle to transport yourself to and from job sites.
- Experience with Concrete finishing

Range $20.00 - $45.00 Per hour depending on experience
We are seeking trustworthy and hardworking employees to join us for the 2024 concrete season. We are willing to train and customize the position for the right candidate. A positive attitude, willingness to take direction and learn is an absolute must. At Mar Concrete Ltd. our customers always come first. Being part of our team means you always go the extra mile for our customers, because it’s the right thing to do.
This position has the potential to extend into the winter months for those eager to take on extra projects outside of our peek season
We are searching for someone with the following attributes:

- Be prepared to work in a physically demanding role and work under tight timelines

- Required to work primarily outdoor in varying weather conditions
- Physical requirements include the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, climb, stand and lift for extended periods of time
- Hours: Primarily Monday to Friday 8-10 hour days with some weekend work expected
- Full-time with the potential of overtime
